I miss New York. I just moved to South Carolina, but my heart is still in New York. I think I might have made the wrong decission, but only time will tell. Your pictures brought tears to my eyes. They are beautiful.

^^ of course!!! Shopping season is never "over" in NYC. Be aware that after Thanksgiving, the peak shopping season starts.

Hi, nickjbor. The following sites are great resources for lots of photos of New York City's elevated subways.
The general site:
Welcome to www.nycsubway.org
This is the page for the #7 Main St. line, officially called the Corona/Flushing Line. If you scroll down the page, you'll see lots of photos. Many of the Main St. line's photos have the Manhattan skyline in the background:

"Ugly" is only your judgment. Beauty is always a subjective evaluation. The NYC els certainly are not "ugly" -- they just are. They are useful, fascinating, and are spectacular, brilliant feats of engineering.

It's the most peacefull, quite, and Friendly place you could ever imagine on earth. Usual traffic problems are what you see in the photo, "NONE" the crime rate is zero, we don't even have a police department, we don't have any use for one, the county and State handle the trucks that come through here that might be speeding once in a while. we have a post office, a dairy queen restraunt, and a gas station. What more would anyone ever need?

What's to like? There's nothing there but a DQ. I'm from TX and that's the blandest thing I've ever seen.
And what do you mean what more would anyone need? How about some life, vibrancy, culture, arts, or a population more than 100. I'm not trying to insult your town, but from what you say your town has, I just don't get how you don't think there's more to life and you don't even have to like NYC.
Either way, I though the same thing about NYC from pics before I actually went there. You get it when you get there. It's unlike any place on earth. God I can't wait to leave TX!
