Yes, swimming is a popular summertime activity for us city dwellers. Water temperatures peak in the 70s most years.

I grew up in NYC and left 11 years ago. These pics bring back so many memories. There are some that I don't even recognize the areas any more, but most I do. Weird how it all looks so "strange" to me now. I need to go visit soon. :-)))

I haven't been out of the city for longer than ten days in over 15 years, and it looks pretty strange to me, too. It's undergoing incredible changes at an incredible rate. In a lot of ways, it's not really New York anymore.
