This is just the beginning of King Mike's plan to impose his peculiar vision of utopia on the entire US.

Firstly...it isn't about creating a Utopia. It is about doing what's in the best interest of the citizens he represents...kinda why we elect people remember? Secondly..what is wanting to have his consituents make healthier/better choices peculiar? As we stated earlier, you cannot force people to do anything...all you can do is create policies, educate, tax, and make the bad choices somewhat healthier, all of which he has done or proposed.

So what's the problem here?

King Mike embodies everything I find repulsive about the "socially liberal, financially conservative" ruling elite of our land. His Cass Sunnstein "nudge" meddling, his intrusive nannying, and worst of all his service to plutocracy.

Only if he gets midtown rezoned for more steel-frame high rises will I forgive his antics.

His name is Mayor Bloomberg. You are great with the nifty monikers, but lack on substance...kinda like Romney! Now that's someone you should find repulsive..the man that cries non-stop how government does not create jobs, yet is fighting tooth and nail for the highest government job in the country! Gotta love it.

I find Rmoney equally repulsive, and very similar underneath the teabag rhetoric to King Michael the First. Another plutocratic technocrat.

Bloomberg shielded his cronies in Wall st. from stricter financial regulation that might prevent another crash. He angrily spoke against those who dared to criticize his buddies gambling pensions away in Wall st.
He single-handedly prevented a tax on financial transactions that would curb market speculation.
Now his banker buddies are making record profits. Bloomberg's own fortune has increased throughout his tenure.
But hey he's looking after us.

IMO, he's done more harm than good.
But to some people, since he's telling us what not to eat (transfats) or drink (16oz sodas) he's must be the greatest mayor since De la guardia.

It's a sad state of affairs ladies and gentlemen.

It's a sad state of affairs.
