Interesting article. The proposed expansion of Metro-North stations in the bronx seems to be gaining traction. I've also included some info from the community meetings held in regards to the expansion.
The idea that NYC residents must yield to residents OUTSIDE of NYC is laughable. Maybe Bronx residents should be imposing their will on various cities in LI....you think that would go over well?
The Bronx stations will be built and travel to Penn Station and LI residents will get their Grand Central slots...the end.
I think the LI'ers are posturing or perhaps they feel they can overpower the Bronx. There should be enough tracks to accomodate both. Penn Station has 21 tracks. Between the ones they'll have in Penn and at Grand there should be enough for everyone...
