However I understand that it's being done to improve some of the traffic congestion.

Also remember guys, traffic lights are out in Manhattan below 39th Street.
Where does your boyfriend work? Can't he walk from there across the Bridge to meet you?

Offering a free Rideshare from Jamaica, Queens to Manhattan. Basically looking for people coming from the 11432 section of queens or the nearby areas. I need to 2 people but in total I can take a group of 4 people with me that know each other preferably. I have 1 car seat if you have a child less than 3 years old. Depending on which route I take I will drop you off at the one of the following options: 59th st east side trains, 59st 1, 2, or B, C, D, 96st east side trains or 96st 1, 2, B or C trains, or 125th st east side trains or 125th 1,2, or A, B, C trains. I will not be dropping you off at your home UNLESS you live near 96st in the upper west and east sides of manhattan. Otherwise, this is just a connection to the train of your choice at the locations specified above. Please email me for more info and to coordinate where to pick you up. There, I can give you my number and we can arrange where to drop you off. I can leave around 3:30pm up to 4:30pm. This is for today November 1st and possibly tomorrow November 2nd if everything goes smoothly. Elizabethmald@hotmail.com

Mayor Bloomberg just gave another briefing. He mentioned that all HOV restrictions will stay in place today until midnight and tomorrow/Friday from 6AM to midnight. The Staten Island ferry service should be fully restored by Saturday.

That was an option. However he was getting out earlier today and I can't take time off to get him right now. He will likely be fighting his way via a few options to get home.

According to NBC, the TLC is recommending for the Black cab car service to charge $15 for trips within Manhattan and $25 to go to other boroughs. Also for yellow cabs if taxis stops for to pick up a second passenger to another destination it is recommended that the passenger pay $10.

Miss J, I'm sorry but I gave you inaccurate info yesterday.

There's no traffic lights south of 34st. I was just walking on 33 st and 8 ave, and traffic cops are there in place
