At this point, I think I'm just going to walk to Williamsburg Bridge (if it's even open) and take a bus once I get into Manhattan. 2.5 miles each way, but hey...
My company is providing a car service to pick me up tomorrow. I will be carpooling in with a few coworkers that live near me.
I hope they let us out a little early so that we can deal with a crazy commute going home. I imagine it will be just as chaotic as a few years back when the MTA went on strike.
My office is closed tomorrow. Many people commute from LI and NJ and they have no way of getting in. Most other people are in Manhattan but without power or in the outer boroughs with power but with no way to get into Manhattan. To be honest, I don't really [ever] have to go into the office to do my job except for client meetings (and those are usually at the client's office) and could work from home tomorrow but they probably made the decision to close the office due to commuting challenges for the employees and clients. If our clients can't get to work and we can't get to work, there isn't really any work
I'm going to try taking the bus (from BPC to midtown) if there aren't a ton of people already waiting for a bus. If it looks overcrowded, I'll work from home remotely since I do have power & my connection worked when I tried it earlier.

This is what I'm going to try. I'm really worried it's going to be too crowded though... and what happens if the bus is already full when it gets to my stop? **** it then, I guess.
I already know the bus I would need to take is gonna be packed (if it's even running at all). If I wasn't getting a ride I probably wouldn't even bother.
my job is in lower manhattan, by broad st. I might be unemployed for a week or longer, depending on how long con ed gets the power up and running
My office is on broad street too! i think we will be out for another day or two before we get power back up. Meanwhile, i stay in my neighborhood counting fallen trees
