I hate that every year they have to murder a giant ass tree for the entertainment of obese sweat pant wearing tourists. Why can't they just keep a permanent tree growing at Rockefeller center?
I'm a non-religious guy who likes christmas....BUT.......
I hate the mindless consumerism of this time of the year. People exchanging gifts, and spending like there's no tomorrow.
In my office there's a lot of people who like to exchange gifts, and some people including one of my current bosses, likes to buy (relatively) expensive gifts. And of course, most of them expect something as good, in return. This drives me crazy!!
I hate the pressure this puts on people who don't want any part in this nonsense.
At one point I was doing this also, but last year, I explicitly told everyone that I didn't want any gifts. And if that they MUST give me something, let it be something mundane or simple, like a slice of pizza or a cup of coffee.
Ohh, I also hate people who say 'Merry X-mas' please stop
I hate the people traffic. It's a lot worse because it's not just people at this point, it's people with a load of bags with them.
Riding the trains with said people loaded with bags. They typically get on and give you that dirty look if you don't give your seat to them. I'm sorry, I didn't tell you to do so much shopping that now you can't even stand. I do my shopping online. It's not my problem. Also annoys me when said people let their bags take up a seat or 2.
Pickpockets who prey on crowds of tourists at this time of year, taking advantage of those who are preoccupied by decorations or shopping, ruining the tourist's day and giving the city a bad name.

Fifth Avenue by my job becomes an absolute nightmare (worse than it normally is) around this time of year. I can barely stand at night to wait for my bus without getting run over by people. HATE IT.
I hate it when people say Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas..
It's the PC term because not everyone celebrates Christmas.
Just like people would say Happy Hanukah to me because my last name is Jewish. I got tired of correcting people and saying I celebrate Christmas since I'm Catholic.
Feeling like I have to tip the super, who has been not very nice about some of my past requests for maintenance.
