On the street. Usually you have to hunt around for a spot. Some neighborhoods are easier to find parking in than in others. If there is a large number of apartment blocks in a neighborhood then it will be harder to find a parking spot. Neighborhoods that are more residential with single family or multi family homes are usually easier to find a parking spot in.

I think Flatbush is pretty rough, I wouldn't want to leave a car around there.

I live in a pretty nice neighborhood and I throw a club on the wheel when I park it overnight. Just in case....

You park on a street. Depends on your street, you might need to move your car 4x a week for street cleaning. This gave me a headache and plenty of parking tickets. Flatbush is definitely not a car neighborhood. I used to live on Sterling St, they had more residential apts in addition to buildings. This made parking a little easier. But still a nightmare when everyone is up at 7 am moving their car to the same side street. At times, my car was parked 4 blocks away. I don't miss it.
