I don't think anyone of them qualify and I'm still trying to figure out how Bloomberg got away with 3 terms without so much as a wisper from the general population of NYC.

There were screams from the general population. He had to sit through a required public hearing where people were allowed to voice their opposition to his shenanigans. And a good half of them were loud about their disdain. The other half were arguably hand picked by his people to show up.

What a major manipulator!
Of course I didn't see or hear of any of the screams from the general pouplation via the media. Well that maybe because he has the media in his pocket.
I like Guilaini because he cared about the quality of our lives.
I like Guilianai because he banned tourist helicopters, allowing quiet skies above our waterfront and parks.
Bloomberg re-instated the tourist helicopters, and because of this 3 Australian tourists are dead, because of the helicopter sinking into the east river.
I love parks, Govenors Island, Valentino Park, Columbia Street waterfront, Brooklyn Bridge Park....but now that the tourist helicopters are back they fly constantly around all the areas I just mentioned, causing a constant roar as they fly by, one after the other all day long. Constant.
Do you know how annoying it is to spend the day at Govenors Island only to see 7-8 helicopters circling the island and harbor?. Do you know how loud helicopters are?, they are maddening.
So this is why I cannot stand Bloomberg with every ounce of my being. Several Brooklyn council members pleaded with him to ban the tourist helicopters again, he simply will not do it, claiming they city gains revenue. I am not disputing that, but the city is getting revenue but on the other hand it is ruining the thousands of residents that use these parks quality of life.
I guess to Bloomberg revenue is more important then the thousands of residents that live along these areas and all the park goers.
I can't stand Bloomberg either, for a variety of reasons, but tourist helicopters?
I also cannot disagree enough that it is too early to know anything about these people. They all have extensive track records as NYC politicians and or administrators. Anyone who follows local politics even casually should know a ton about them.
Of the serious candidates, I'm leaning towards Bill DiBlasio. It's for a very selfish reason, but one that I cannot deny now that I have a family to feed. Other than him, I am actually interested in Quinn but relatively cool on her overall, Liu should be in jail, I've had enough of Kelly, and both Stringer and Markowitz are more clowns than serious politicians.
