Hello,
so my family and I were selected for a housing lottery for an apartment in Brooklyn. The requirements for income ask that the household income be between 29,555 and 37,350. Our household income consists of two people, my mother who before taxes makes about $29,000 and myself who before taxes makes about $13,000. However, I am a full time student in college. How much does my income affect the overall income of the household. Am I still eligible?

LOL.

Also full time students are not eligible for the housing lottery rule.

Simple addition of the 2 incomes would disqualify the op, why bother posting this question?

Her mother is way too old to be making $29k a year. If you're over 25 and still making under $30k a year in the NYC region then you need to reassess your friggen career goals. I mean this in the best way possible..

Why. Some people get by on that income and arent complaining. Not everyone can be a 50k and above person. Just like not everyone can be a model or have degree or be a celebrity or sports figure or wall st or commit suicide.

Some people are happy making 30k, some people are miserable make 100k.
