I'm interested in your thoughts on the topic of cell phone rooftop antennas, and the rapidly growing trend of spotting them all over the city. Are people accepting the installation of these antennas, or are they protesting to no avail? I've read a lot about parents protesting installations on school rooftops, but what about residential buildings such as rentals, co-ops or condos? How do people feel overall. Are you comfortable with the thought of living in a building with this type of equipment installed on your rooftop?

No I don't like the idea. I think that they might be unsafe/unhealthy, but I have no proof to back any of that up.

I've actually turned down nice apartments because they were located in buildings that had rooftop cell antennas.

Mead, I wonder if there are other folks that think the same way. In other words, there is more to it than possible health implications. Real property values may be affected as well.

When i rented in a co-op bldg in Riverdale 11 years ago the phone company put several cell anetnnas on the roof of the bldg. One guy on the board had a fit and was circulating notices to every tenant protesting it and had evidence to back it up. neighbors were badmouthing the guy. One day i heard his own father yelling and screaming at him telling him to stop making such a fuss over it. Finally he stopped. This was in the local press about 10 years ago it made such waves.
