So today was the day it was a long day, lots of papaerwork etc but overall i really enjoyed it. It feels great that i work for the NYPD! Denco, you were about the "yes sir, yes ma'am" they talked about CD's, what the academy covers, uniforms, insurance, union, etc so many topics. We got sworn in by the chief as well. The different insurances that they have though each have their advantages, and disadvantages. I don't have a family so i would go with the individual plans. Kind of difficult to pick which one would be better. Tomorrow is when the real day begins.

Congrat again... Le real deal won't start tomorrow. It will be different guests coming in for speech. The real lecture start when u guys go to ur different company. U guys will sit 2 or 3 per table... It is fun indeed. . Enjoy while it last. :-)

Company is the different classes. So if tomorrow is ur 1st day at the academy (Queens Plaza N), before 5:45am, u guys will be in single file along the wall, no cell phone, no listening to music, no leaning on the wall, no talking etc... Then in the classroom, u Will be sitting next to each. After a week or so u guys will be divided into small group called "Company". B4 that, MCU will come, the union president will come, Aflac will come, IAB will come etc.... so the class will actually start like after 2 or 3 weeks.

lol you were right about the instructors being very strict and most people cant follow directions either which makes it difficult for them. So far its been easy for me, just following orders etc. The insurances that were discussed today were really good as well. I didn't see the union president though, when does he show up? They are very strict about cellphones to, few people got cd's already for that. What else is in store for us?

Everyday has different guess. The union president will probably come in a week or 2. Cellphone is a NO NO, even at meal. I always have my phone on me, on vibrate. The only time u can use it is in the bathroom. I used to check my msgs too since i was sitting in the back. But that's a dangerous game. :-)
