that's pretty much it, especially after an exciting win at yankee stadium and i mean in extra innings or bottom of the ninth and not a blowout.

Change the Survey Location
I'm surprised the songs "New York" (the Ja Rule/Cool & Dre version) and "Uptown" (Peter Gunz and Lord Tariq) aren't on the list.

Curious, if my memory serves me correctly, New York New York by Frank Sinatra was released as a radio hit sometime in late 1979 or early 1980
Am I accurate?

FWIW: There are two different songs with the same title, "New York, New York."
The most well-known one is the Frank Sinatra and/or Liza Minelli version, but the original song was featured in the 1949 movie, "On the Town." The lyrics go like this:
New York, New York!
A helluva town.
The Bronx is up and the Battery's down.
And people ride in a hole in the ground.
New York, New York!
It's a helluva town!

My favorite song about New York City is the theme from the movie, Arthur, sung by Chris Cross.

For a classic, I'm going with squeezeboxgal's suggestion of the tune from "On the Town." But for something a little more modern, I vote for Ace Frehley's "Back in the New York Groove."
