This is like Gangnam style people picking up few dance move and do silly stuff together with friends
and put on youtube right? I think I like gangnam style parody more because is funnier. The few Harlem
shake parody I watched are not that good I barely finish watching the video.
The " Harlem Shake" is a dance that became wildly popular in the mid 90s in the NYC area when Diddy released a song with his entourage called "Lets Get It " .
In the music video many dancers are doin the REAL harlem shake which was a dance that was done to certain beats ( particularly NY Hip Hop at the time)
This new thing on youtube may be viral , BUT IT AINT THE REAL HARLEM SHAKE
Youtube the original video from Diddy and then see this mess and you will see what I mean.
I remember when a hot song came on back then the Harlem shake was how you danced to it and showed your creativity as how you did it.. Ahhhh the days when music was music
So glad I watched this video because I have been so annoyed seeing all these goofy videoa all over the internet. I knew what i was seeing what not the Harlem shake and just some made goofy dance.
Power did a vid on how to do the real Harlem Shake... Not that other nonsense that hot 97 and all those other sell out rappers are bumping too... What shocked me (even though it really shouldn't) was Diddy hopping on the bandwagon of the new Harlem shake... Out of all people I thought a Harlem native would set the record straight on all this nonsense... But once again, diddy never fails to show how he's more interested in that all mighty dollar than staying true to his roots...
Gotta give a shoutout to one of my students for this video... Thank you Dee.
