El Greco will soon be gone as it is up for sale. An icon of the bay where one could a meal of nearly anything one wanted 24/7. It'll become a memory along with the Brooklyn Zoo and numerous other places we enjoyed locally late at night.
Sad to see it on the way out. Myself and my family back in the day used to go on most weekends. We also frequented the Sheepshead bay diner, Where condos now stand. Lot's of places closed over the years. I remember Captain Walter's also. Place used to get rowdy on Saturday nights.
El Greco was the place that my great-aunt used to take any/all of my relatives (including myself) for lunch when we used to visit her when she lived in Sheepshead Bay.
Well, Looks like the time has finally arrived sadly. Th second large residential development planned so far, with the other a few blocks away by Shore parkway. I noticed the the block with Randazzos seems empty except for the Turkish restaurant, Hoping that whole block and Randazzos does not go next. Scary thought.
