I know it's not allowed for sale, but does anyone know of a cow sharing program or a coop that makes it possible to get raw milk in NYC? At this point, I don't have a car and can't go to the farm to get it.

Thank you.

Can I ask why you want raw milk?

I don't drink milk, period, so I don't know. I've never seen it at any farmer's markets either.

A Campaign for Real Milk | A Project of the Weston A. Price Foundation

This site will help you locate a dairy.

Raw milk taste like whole milk which it is, just not pasturized. Beware of contamination.

I had it in DR once years ago when I was a kid. Did not like the taste. Hard to describe.

OP I'd ask around a farmer's market. There's guaranteed to be a seller there who can point you in right direction.

It can only be sold through a Diary in NYS. The site I listed has several dairies on their raw milk finder list that serve NYC. Getting the milk is not hard at all.

A "cow-sharing program" ?

That's definitely sounds like a sketch Monty Python might have done.

I heard of free range rooftop cows in Williamsburg and East Village, you should check It out. You can see the Cows mooo when on the JMZ train heading over the Williamsburg bridge.
