The 7-5 is one of the largest NYPD pct's in the city. I'm gonna say the largest in Brooklyn. East NY, Cypress Hills are 2 areas within the pct.

I think I saw somewhere that its population was around 90,000 today or something like that but in 1990 it was like around 160 or 170 thousand. What was the population in 93? It's hard to believe the population went down so drastically.

I can't open PDF files, but here's the profile for the community board that covers East NY (the boundaries are fairly close to those of the 75th pct). Check to see if they have the population in 1990.

In any case, there were a ton of vacant lots that were eventually turned into new housing, so it definitely didn't see a decrease in population.A census map from 1990 shows many tracts seeing significant growth from 1990 to 2000, and again from 2000 to 2010, so I'd be shocked if there was any decrease at all.

At Revis the 73rd precinct might've been the one you were looking at... That precinct has a population around 90 thou. The 75th precinct is somewhere over 200,000 I believe... For the record Cypress Hills, is a part of East NY. The thing is East NY is an enormous area and there's different sections... You got City Line, Starrett City, Cypress Hills, New Lots... each pop. has a sizable population
