Default Burlington Coat Factory coming to Fordham Road

Cookies Dept Store at Webster Ave and Fordham Road is closing and Burlington Coat Factory is taking the space. See Crain's article below:

Good or bad for the neighborhood?

I think Burlington Coat Factory is a step up from Cookies but not much of a step.Cookies is a true ghetto mall store,Burlington Coat is a bit more mainstream.

Seems like that has been a sort of trend for Fordham Road in the last few years.Slowly transitioning from a total ghetto mall to a bit more mainstream so I guess it's good.

Same thing happened to the Jersey City mall. Got better over time. who knows? Maybe fordham road might return as a destination shopping place.

there are a gang of stores that have shut down on fordham road. the problem with fordham road is, theres too many ghetto malls, and not enough diversity. this is a step in the right direction.
