I think you both have pretty big chip. If you are looking not to meet anyone with way out views your looking in the wrong place. Midtown East has a bit of everything and the old folks are old, they have seen a lot, been through a lot and some are stuck in the ways. You will also have folk who will offer to look after your double parked car if you're just popping upstairs. If you can't let these things just run of your back then you're going to have a hard time in the city.
