well we finally made an attempt to get on to the george washington bridge for some photos.

okay i admit it, i was scared sh#t up there and we got about 1/4 way across and went back.

you cannot imagine how high you are until you look over that little railing and look down at the cars that look like toys.

the bridge was vibrating and swaying and once over the water the wind picked up like a hurricane. i had to hold on to my glasses.

Great photos! That whole walk up Riverside and beyond the Bridge are great too. In fact, The background on my profile is exactly of this. I even touched the lighthouse underneath.

I chickened out after 1/4 of the way. I told my wife i would tell everyone we came back down because she got scared.

She really wanted to continue on.

well just the sight of approaching the walkway i would freeze. once i was in the manhattan mall buying a birthday card for my mom. i froze going to the escalator because of the sight of the drop and i could not use the elevator because of the glass doors and walls that show the drop. i ended up asking a security guard to wait with me till the elevator arrived and to escort me into the elevator . he wished me luck and told me to keep praying...

at least you got 1/4 of the way...

There is an overlook in fort lee park which is right along side of the bridge.

You can park and walk to the entrance of the bridge path.

I really wanted photos of the bridge structure but security told us no photographing the bridge itself once we were on the path across.
