City Limits : FreshDirect's Bronx Foes Weigh Appeal

There it is. Fresh Direct won. Now, their opponents could appeal, but Fresh Direct will win again. Yes, a major company is moving to the South Bronx.

Is there anyway the city can create an incentive for:

•Using electric powered delivery trucks.

•Creating a facility with an accessible Green roof, and integration into a coastal Green way (if on the coast). I have heard multiple locations thrown around (in Hunts Point, Mott Haven, and Port Morris), what underutilized area/lot is this company eyeing exactly?

I feel this would have been a better way to approach this issue.

Fresh Direct has already said they will switch entirely over to electric power delivery trucks. So some of these concerns have already been addressed.

Of course it will, big time. Why else do you think the poverty pimps opposed it? I began using Fresh Direct when I heard they were moving to the Bronx.

ONe thing's for sure, affluent tenants are not going to move anywhere near where the FD facility is located.
