I lived in the projects from 1961 to 1971 and attended PS 100. Had a bunch of brothers and sisters. (all older)

What do you remember about PS 100?

Mike, If you simply behave as ur natural selves I really don't think u will have a problem simply because ur an interracial couple. I think we have alot more to be concerned about in these economic times, than who people are sleeping with. However if u go uptown acting like fools then u will possibly cause unneccessary attention 2 urselves. this is coming from someone who was born and raised and who continues to live in Harlem NYC. Oh and by the way there is something called regentrification going on in all the poor areas of NYC, so there may be alot more of you uptown than u might imagine

The area has some great homes...although public transportation to the city is cumbersome.

I am sure you will enjoy your time there!
Hey Guy, are u sure ur talking about the Bronx Soundview area and not some summer resort town called soundview when u spoke of summer bungalos? Or were u referring to maybe 50 yrs. ago? LOL and plz I don't mean to be offensive, but I just can't imagine........

Actually, many of the bungalows are still there. If you follow White Plains Road all the way to the end and then turn onto some of the little side streets you will see them.Especially in Harding Park.
