I feel a lot more productive today, partly evidenced my # of posts contributed to this forum so early on today. Looks like that the hot days for 2013 are forever gone and time to be back to business.

There will be more hot days, we still have August to get through...
It's more than just the temp. It's the energy sapping humidity, proximity of heat absorbing structures on all sides, the combined smell of trash, BO, sewage, urine and crap which has nowhere to go but fester... the chuds, crazies and tourists crowding the sidewalks making everything feel more exhausting than it actually is.... ie. a combination of both psychological and physical factors
I dont remember the humidity being so bad say around 10 years ago, it seems like within the last few years i the humidity has gottnen almost intollereable.
a lot of times I slept without a/c. now it has been running for days....ugh.

It's true. What's also irritating is the temperature drops and the humidity goes up and then vice versa, so you get up shower and leave and it's humid out then leave to the blazing sun and still high humidity.
I don't need any scientific data to tell me it's getting hotter. The past several years I haven't been able to turn my A/C off really from June until mid-September. I remember 20 years ago summer temps in NY were in the 80 degree range, now more often than not they're in the 90s.
