Eating in your own bathroom isn't that bad because you're in the company of your own "mess".

Now, to eat in someone else's bathroom is a different story all together.

There's some truth to that. But i still dont think its okay to eat in your own mess. Reminds me of an incident when i worked at a hospital... a hobo was given food but the nurse did not change his diaper because her shift was about to end. Not the right thing to do.

NYC is 110 billion dollars in debt. They're not going to revamp the subways and that's that. The city needs whatever money is left to pay for useless nypd security cameras and to pay off lawsuits brought against the police. Just last year they paid off 185 million, and I suspect the coming year will be a new record.

1-You have the most extensive mass transit in the country, maybe even the world, that runs 24/7.
2-How has bare-bones stations harmed, or even affected you?
3-Do you want to PAY MORE for it?

Interestingly enough, over the past few years the MTA has been completely renovating/redesigning elevated stations across the Bronx. Most are complete and they look fantastic.

I know all the elevated superstructure columns and trusses were repainted as well, with the exception of Westchester Avenue on the 5/2 for now.

So, no one can bring their groceries in the subway? Or a cup of coffee?

PATH train has a ban on food & beverage, along with nazi cops to issue you a summons for eating your snickers bar or carrying sealed bottles of champagne on new years eve.

No thanks

Because people will have no appreciation or respect for it and destroy it almost as soon as it's done.
