Have you ever lived in NYC? Just curious, because visiting here and actually living here are two very different things.
I haven't heard of anyone using NYC subway bathrooms since the 70s lol
I've spent an entire summer in NYC and been there many other times, I think that counts for something. I don't see how my comment should call something like that into question.
My old manager used to work for MTA, and he told me that his department used to spend hundreds of hours on "conference meetings"... so by the time a decision was made on a design/upgrade/renovation, the project was already over budget because the hours were eaten up by these "meetings".

Yes ... I pointed this out elsewhere.
Increasingly, for reasons I cannot fathom, it is people who do not live here (!) who most enthusiastically post.
Agree about the bathrooms.
After taking a vacation to Shenzhen, China and Hong Kong I can tell you I take a well build and working subway/metro system over a crappy one running 24/7. Everyone that works at the MTA has a main priority of filling their pockets first and when that doesn't change, the system will still be a 3rd world country one.

The problem with the MTA is having to sign union contracts. Take the unions out and you'll get twice as much for your money

Again, living here for a long period of time is very different. But hey, good luck to you.

NYC needs subway service 24/7. How would borough folks commute if working the night shifts. Everyone can knock the MTA, but it is the cheapest way to get around if you don't want to risk your life biking around the city.

It's the same thing with people on the LA subforum, which is where you want to move isn't it? People talk up LA and how wonderful it is, despite having only been there a few times or never at all.
I think Harlem resident has more issues than simply people talking enthusiastically about a place they don't live.
