My my. We sure have gone off topic from the question of "Is there a bed bath and beyond in Co-op City". The answer is no.

Also, Co-op City was always multi-cultural. It was a great place for middle classed people back in the day..the schools were great, there was green space, lots of amenities. We had a three bedroom and a terrace on a high floor overlooking the Hutchinson River and LI Sound. Neighborhood gardens. Have nothing but good things to say about Co-op in the 80s and 90s. Great life.

Google could have stopped this unnecessary thread

1) go to google.com

2) type in bed bath and beyond locator

3) type in zip code or city

...just sayin'

No, there's no BB&B in Bay Plaza - though there could potentially be one in the Mall they're building there.

Default Co-op City is not as car-centric as suburbia

Like everything else, it's between the older city neighborhoods and the suburbs. Some of us had cars in the old neighborhoods, some of us didn't have cars in Co-op City. Yes there were plenty of garages -- enough would-be residents had or were going to buy cars that parking was necessary, and they could either build garages, or have the acres of asphalt they did a decade ago when the garages were temporarily condemned. There was always some public transportation, one bus to the North Bronx, or a bus and a train, or an express bus, or a walk and a train, to Manhattan.

Within Co-op City (as opposed to going to work [if one doesn't work in Manhattan] or out to the country) is very walkable. No internal streets to cross, and schools, basic retail, library, etc. on-site even before Bay Plaza was built.

I need a BB&B because my bathroom scale needs replacing and after only 35 years. They have always had a good selection of scales.
I found out my nearest store was at 60th and First Ave...must be under the bridge.

(BTW, can anyone recommend an accurate digital bathroom scale?)

Good look finding anything of quality in that place or American made for that matter. If I didn't know any better I would think that BB&B was a Chinese company.
