That has to be inaccurate because I know of a few places in Riverdale that have $15 minimums when using a credit card.

Yep, plenty of bars have $20-40 minimums for cards, too.

$40 minimums? What kind of places are these? The most I have heard is a $25 minimum.

again, I have experience with retail business. no cc company will revoke a store's ability to accept cc. I remember they will call and inquire if its true....at the end, they frown on it but they won't do anything about it.

Seem like some gasoline stations have it correct despite some controversy. Some of them have separate cash price and cc price. I am sure the cash payers are very happy to pay less.

I don't mind paying cash as long as they give me a better price. There is no way I will pay cash for the same price. Using credit card is cheaper because of bonus points.

And what exactly are they "packing" in the Meatpacking District that requires them to charge a $40 minimum?

It is perfectly accurate and has been that way since September of 2010. Just because you know a store that isn't playing by the rules doesn't mean the rules don't exist.
