the way youve phrased it (youre white and 30 and want to know what areas are to be avoided) it sounds like you want the others to post neighborhoods that have a lot of blacks and tell you if theyre safe or not

its not necessarily about race who lives there, it's using common sense and street smarts. but if you are at risk getting shot going out at night to the corner store, the area isn't safe for anyone

if you move to an area that has a lot of non caucasians and you feel uneasy it might show to the others

Central Harlem
Spanish Harlem
Lower East near the projects along the river

everyone has a different shade of safe- some may get offended and call those three areas safe- others might include even more.

YOU are the one who made this about race. Answer my question or stop highjacking my thread and changing the topic!

I understand and appreciate your opinion.

Could you please tell me what the names of the areas are red and orange in this Manahatan map?

How is Washington heights and morningside heights in general?

I have a friend in Washington heights and he said it wasn't bad but I realize some areas are better or worse than others in neighborhoods.

Also, I believe morningside and Washington heights are areas within Harlem correct?
