Agreed. NJ and PA water is disgusting. NYC water is delicious. The only problem is the rust in the water.

I always filtered my water through one of those Brita dispensers. I would have to clean out the dispenser after a few weeks of use due to the rust buildup. Did anyone else notice the nasty orange/brown buildup on the water filter? Some days the water would just come out of my faucets brown. I remember a time when I wanted to take a bath and let the water run for a few minutes. When I went to check on the water level I noticed that my tub was filled half way with brown water. Gross.

If you live in the city make sure you filter your water before you drink it.

I agree the tap water in NYC tastes mush better a couple of decade ago. The water now taste different that lead me to buy bottle water each week. But, I to say it taste much better than Southern states. There I cannot even swollan a drip of tap water. There Deer Park even taste different, I couldn't find Poland Spring (my drink of choice) anywhere. I had to results in Sprite soda throughout my week vacation.......

If there is rust in your water it has nothing to do with the city's water. It's because of the rusty pipes in your building.

Me!

I think people who drag water packed in plastic from supermarkets on a weekly basis at thousands of percent markup are just plain nuts. If they were forced to go to the town well and carry their water back to their homes there would be a revolution but they do it willingly and pay handsomely for the privilege.

I would also venture that if the same people did a blind testing they would pick NYC tap water over the styrene laced plastic water.

Oh yeah:

I miss NYC tap water. I use a RO system in AZ and it still doesn't taste as good as NYC water. I think it's the NYC water that make pizza crust and bagels taste so good in that part of the country.
