Hi All

We are planning to visit NYC for 3 Nights & we need a place where we can park our car for these 3 days. Basically we will drive tonite to NYC, park the car there & get it on Monday afternoon to come back. However, I am not finding any cheap parking places. I have checked all the links possible & could not find anything in the range of 60$ - 80$ for 3 days. Can anyone help me with the same at the earliest, we will be staying near Union Square in Manhattan. A safe parking area is required. Thankyou

Not sure why you're posting in the Delaware forum. I think you'd do better to post your question in the New York City section of the New York State forum.

The Chinatown bus is really cheap but I don't know details. It has been discussed on this forum before, so you might do a thread search about bus service from DE to NYC. The train is admittedly rather expensive but nice if you feel you can afford it, especially the Acela Express.

Another thought..........Does you hotel offering parking??? or at least a discount?

We took the train up 3 years ago. Hubby worked for transportation so we both rode free. That was a big plus.
We stayed at the Marriott on Times Square....with points from the hotel.
Wonderful weekend!!

It seems the horse has already left the barn on this one: the OP left yesterday and is here now.

I found a place in queens right next to the midtown tunnel with coupon it's $12 per day and looks like a quick train ride into Manhattan from there. Good luck!

That is going to be very helpful to the OP who is probably still looking for parking since 2009....

Many of the parking garages in the city offer discount parking coupons. I work in Midtown and when I drive, I use a coupon for $16 (including the fat 18.75% tax), which saves me $20 from the regular rate of $36+. You have to print these coupons and bring them to the parking garage. But this can save you LOTS of money. There is a search engine for available coupons for NYC parking garages and lots: parking.nyccoupons.com. Good luck.
