I spend a lot of time traveling. I'm in the Bronx about 3 days a week for deliveries. I must say, the Bronx is a sad sight to behold. Besides the extreme northern and eastern sections, its really a decayed borough. This is why I support gentrification. If you cannot take care of where you live, others will move in and do it instead. You know that old saying "don't crap where you eat?"
Do you guys think its safe to say that the BX is the most rundown borough?
When you say that you've traveled, where actually did you go? My family is from a third world country, and trust me, while the Bronx is NYC's toilet, it's not even close to the slums of a third world country.
That being said, I do support gentrification, but only to an extent. NYC needs a variety of neighborhoods, otherwise where will the working class live? The Bronx certainly needs a fixer upper, buts it's unrealistic to want all of the Bronx to become like riverdale

Hmmm? The whole city looks like crap, wtf are you smoking dude?

Then why are you still here. NYC is not the most beautiful or the cleanest city in the world, but it doesn't pretend to be either. Some places are run down, but some places are also truly beautiful. To say the whole city looks like crap means either you don't know the city really well or you just hate the city, either way, it obvious you should leave as soon as possible. You are not cut out for living in NYC.
Help us...yet another Bronx diss thread. Can't you get off on something else besides posting a re-tread topic? The "decayed" areas that you mention look no different than similar places elsewhere. Low income housing ain't pretty anywhere. Just look at that google map view thread and get a good look at some of the places in other boroughs. Give me a break.
I've seen third world. I've seen true slums and barrios. You have not one clue what you're talking about.
Third world country? The Bronx has electricity and indoor plumbing last time I checked.
So do Pakistan and Colombia. So what?
