Getting back to step streets, I have read that bad things happen on them such as robberies. Virtually all the step streets in my police pct have had robberies on them--W 238th street leading up to Waldo from Irwin, 231 street from Sedgwick, 229th street off Heath, there are more in the area that are dangerous both in terms of crime or physically run down. The steps that lead down to Broadway from Godwin terrace always seem to have characters hanging out by them. I did notice a step street by Netherland Ave and 230th street that led all the way down to Johnson Ave--looked very steep
I'd imagine that the step streets farther south in Univ hts and high bridge are even more dangerous

Yeah, I would assume that the step streets in Mt Eden, Highbridge, Morris/University Heights are dangerous. I think there's one between University and Aqueduct at around 180th street......not safe.
