Totally agree. I don't mean to give the OP a hard time, but how you present yourself in informal writing carries with you. Starting early to pay attention to detail can really help you to excel later on. So if OP is passionate, then an early focus will definitely lead down the right path.

And I agree with your advice to consider all career options! We definitely need more teachers, but it's a tough gig and not for everyone....

If, and that may be a big if, you get a job you will probably be in some of the worst schools.

The lovely students will rip your rip your heart out and eat it in front of you.

Is "punctualization" the act of being punctual/arriving on time?

It is not, but that is also important for employees of all professions!

You should aim high and try to pursue your dreams. The facetious responses (including mine) are in jest. As others said, a public teaching position in NYC is tough! But if you aspire to that, then by all means you should learn as much as you can about the requirements and options. I had a few friends out of school do the Teaching Fellows program and they enjoyed it/ were successful. Depends on the school as well, obviously. You'll need thick skin.

They use a different word "straightforward" to mean what rude means in other parts of the country, lol.

You are a "teach" of English and you could help me to figure out how to interchange between these two words...
