Discussion came up with some friends recently about how many different neighborhoods we've lived in in NYC, either from birth or from when we moved here. Answers ranged from one to seven. I fell in the middle, I guess, at four: Harlem, East Village, Washington Heights, Upper West Side. Was wondering if that is typical and how it stacks up with other New Yorkers' mobility.

So how many different neighborhood have you lived in here, and what are they?

Eight neighborhoods in two boroughs (Manhattan and Brooklyn), if you count a few short-term sublets. Not counting those, five neighborhoods.

I keep on almost moving to Queens, or trying to move to Queens, but it never quite happens.
