My buddy and I are considering moving into the River Crossing complex on 100th and 1st in East Harlem. For the price, the apt is spacious and newly renovated. But we are also concerning for the safety of the area. This complex used to be called the Metro North Riverview apts and I found nothing but negative comments on the internet. My buddy and I are big guys, we are both over 6 feet tall and weight around 200 pounds. So I shouldn't be worrying about ppl harassing us. So are my concerns unnecessary? and anybody used to live in or around there have any comments?

I wouldn't do it.

I am curious how they got the tenancy they did. The buildings look better than the tenants. Was the building once NYCHA? Is it filled with Section 8?
I have been curious about this place for years.
