Has anyone who has applied under the "Sandy" or "municipal" category heard anything from Park Clinton? I wonder if they've already chosen those people and notified them that they will be interviewed after CB people? Or if they've chosen the people from those two categories but have yet to notify them? It isn't clear from the note that Mike wrote if they've picked and/or notified Sandy/municipal applicants? I wish I knew this because then I'd know that I have no chance since I've heard nothing from Park Clinton.

What I understood, that the Municipal will be calling on February 2014...

i TRY FIGURE OUT IF THIS TRUE ABOUT THIS COOP TROUGH LOTTERY ?

i FOUND THIS INFORMATION ON nyc.gov

"Is there any down payment assistance?
Many New Yorkers want to buy a home but don't have enough money saved for their down payment and closing costs. As part of Mayor Bloomberg's "New Housing Marketplace Plan," the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) created the HomeFirst Down Payment Assistance program. It provides qualified homebuyers with up to 6% of the home's purchase price as a forgivable loan to use toward the down payment or closing costs on a new 1-4 family home, a condominium, or a cooperative in one of HPD's Homeownership Zones in one of the five boroughs of New York City. This means that if the home costs $400,000, the eligible buyer would get $24,000."

The Home First Program states that you must already have your down payment.

Since the Sales Office is requiring a 5% down payment, the home first money can be used for closing costs.

Also, there are income restrictions based on your house hold size. Fine Print: You must live there for 10 years (why would you ever leave PC anyway, IMO).

I just added those few pennies because I tried to apply when I didn't have my whole minimum down payment and I was deemed not eligible because of low assets on another HPD Coop two years ago.

Default Park Clinton Lottery and more!

Has anyone heard anything yet? I just heard about this from a friend. Is there an official way to find out about programs like this -- for affordable coops and condos in Manhattan? Thanks! Arlster
