Mind translating? I was good at French in high school and still remember quite a few words but it would be nice if you could translate it so we could all understand.
I told her I liked the area when I went there a year ago but also that the neighborhood is not for everybody. I said that it's "the hood", there's a lot of poverty, sketchy vibe, it can be intimidating for an outsider/a person that's not used to that kind of atmosphere. Finally, I said it depends of her level of tolerance, if she's used to a hood vibe she might go for it, and the rents are still quite affordable.

I am renting a room but my buget is not very high (800$) but the room is nice and seems good located near the train station (500 meters).
