It sounds like you're totally off the hook, but you could call the clerk's office just to double-check.

You're fine. It's usually 4-5 days you have to call and if your number doesn't come up, you are done.

Unfortunately there is no way to tell how long it will be before they summon you again but for now, you're good.

Thanks guys for the info I found in other forum this might be help for you somehow in the future but hope you won't call of this hahaha

How often does a person have to serve as a juror?
A person who serves in a State or Federal court in New York—
either by reporting in person or by being available to serve via a telephone call-in system—normally is not eligible to serve again
in the New York State courts for at least six years. A juror who
serves for more than ten days normally is not eligible to serve
again in the New York State courts for at least eight years. Jurors
who physically report to serve in Town and Village courts are
eligible to serve again in two years. Just because a person is
eligible to serve does not mean they will be called.
Same explanation phrased differently for Grand Jury

said by Grand Jury Duty Handbook :
When will I have to serve again?
Jurors who sit for 11 days or more and successfully complete
their service will not be eligible to be called again for eight years.
Generally, jurors who serve for less than 11 days are eligible to
be called again in six years. Just because a juror becomes eligible
to serve again does not mean that she or he will be called. A
person who is called again is selected at random from the county
wide pool of jurors and may be summoned either as a trial juror
or a grand juror.

10 days or less = minimum of 6 years between being eligible
11 days or more = minimum of 8 years between being eligible

It could be longer if your name isn't picked for a while after you become eligible.

Just watch the documentary "Jury Duty" staring Pauly Shore. It should answer any questions you have about the process.

Sigh. If you can't comprehend this message, you should be ineligible for future jury service!

when you get jury duty in the mail, throw it out. unless, you really want to do it.

I went once, wasted a whole day of sitting. Never again. When my 8 years is up and I get a notice, I'm throwing it out. I will never do it again.

I also missed a telephone juror many years ago, nothing happened.

I understand nightcrawler. I hate jury duty so much that just when I read the title of this post my testicles pull up tight to my body in a mixture of fear and terror.
I mean, really, didn't the THIRTEENTH AMENDMENT outlaw involuntary servitude?

Perhaps jurors should be compensated on the same daily basis as the JUDGE? That might soften the blow.
