I am NOT for it
i am white
I have had it done to me

I think it is one of the most disgusting this that are allowed to have done to people.

No, I don't want another man, regardless if he is a cop, to put his hands inside my pockets.

They dont use the policy in the way it was intedned.

you either commited a crime, or look like you are going to commit on.

NOT, walking down the block in which you live to go home.

that is why I am totally against it.

it is horrible and must be stopped.
anyone to end this gets my vote.

They target high crime areas to do this, not specifically minority neighborhoods. Maybe they happen to overlap.
no they don't. I live in bath beach, it is the dullest neighborhood in all of Brooklyn. What would make 3 guys jump out of a van, run right over to us, as we were walking down our block, talking.
BTW, we are both middle age me, i have 3 sons in thier high 20's. Trust me, i didnt look like I was / did commit a crime.

Most police forces in 3rd world countries can stop and frisk a citizen whenever they feel like it. IMO it could have worked here if they didn't abuse it....HOW SO ? Most of these stops resulted in marijuana violations....so what you have is an american citizen forced to empty their pockets without any reasonable doubt THEN you arrest them for it. Brilliant. No wonder minorities hate the police.

The thing is we can't have stop and frisk without people abusing it. The consequences of such actions are more threatening than the guns they claim to take off the streets.

I thought it would be a better alternative for NYC to increase the number of undercover cops to patrol the streets to prevent criminal activities without over harassing innocent people.

The psychological effects are more prevailing when the bad guys figure that the people in plain clothes near them might be under cover cops. They will think twice before proceeding to their criminal actions.

They also targeted me right on the Middle Village/Glendale border, which is one of the safest areas in Queens.
