For the adults, here's a few more violations that the animal thug bikers committed:

http://www.nyc.gov/html/dot/downloads/pdf/trafrule.pdf

Section 4-12:

"(h) Reporting accidents by operators of other than motor vehicles. The operators of any bicycle or vehicle other than a motor vehicle involved in an accident resulting in death or injury to a person or damage to property must stop and give their names and addresses and information concerning liability insurance coverage to the party sustaining injuries or damage, and in the case of death or injury, he/she must, in addition to the above, without delay report the accident to the nearest police station, unless he/she has supplied the information to a police officer on the scene. "

Oh, that's right, the scu-bags did not have insurance or licenses...

Section 4-14:

"(2) Use of parkways restricted. Commercial vehicles, pedestrians, horses, limited use vehicles and bicycles are prohibited on parkways."

So the lowlife mieses could not legally enter the parkway - but we all know that this turd was illegally riding a motorcycle, and was not a "pedestrian."

I can cite more laws, but the intelligent here get the picture. The bikers are screwed, and mieses could hire abe lincoln, franfurter, and warren himself to sue Lien - and he'd still lose.

The cops can lay down theses:

Spike strip - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

both ahead and behind the human feces, which should stop their motion.

Those can safely stop a four wheel vehicle, but the risk of causing a bike to crash would probably limit their use against motorcycles. Note also the number of police officers killed while trying to deploy them.

This police guideline says use against a motorcycle only if deadly force is authorized.

This department prohibits using them against motorcycles:

Given that the bikers are an extreme threat to public safety, I would allow the police to use all means necessary to stop them, including shooting them.

When the cops initiate a roadblock with their lights flashing and have laid down spike strips, if the bike was going to follow the law and slow down to a stop they would not hit the strips. It is only the idiots who are going to try and run the blockade that will hit the spikes and crash, which is a positive scenario in my opinion.

Here is a brief review of the legal issues from a CNN legal analyst...

Opinion: In attack, can bikers get a fair shake? - CNN.com

A couple of excerpts.

Quote:
If it's proven that Lien ran over Mieses, he could be considered a "fleeing felon." New York, like other states, criminalizes leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident. In a case like this, in which someone is seriously injured, flight is a potential felony. So was Lien fleeing for his life, or was he a fleeing felon?
Quote:
Third, it's true that a lot of bikers gave chase. Was this alone permissible? In New York, a citizen acting on his own may use non-deadly force to prevent the escape of a person who has committed a crime. Lien's tires were slashed and his windows bashed in. Was that appropriate force? Those acts themselves are non-deadly. If so, were the bikers apprehending a fleeing criminal within the law?
Finally, if any of the bikers charged claim they were justified in preventing the escape of a criminal, the burden is on the prosecution to disprove it and disprove it beyond a reasonable doubt.
Of course none of you will be able to understand any of this discussion. You would need an open mind.....and that is way to much to hope for.

Petties interview explains the mindset of his ilk. If you p-off one of them by not driving the way they think that you should then he has the right to "reach out to you". I wonder what his definition is of "reach out to you" .
BTW I answered my own question by reviewing the end of the original video.

Motorcycle road rage: New video emerges in assault of SUV driver - Eyewitness News Exclusive | 7online.com

New video popped up of the incident at the end. It doesn't add much information, but it's still a piece of evidence.
