The regular burgers are ok, but the shack stack is my favorite burger, ever. The fried portabello mushroom stuffed with gooey muenster and cheddar cheese... Mmm. I regularly eat burgers at many different places: Burger Joint, Donovan's, In-and-out (animal style!), five guys, umami burger, Bobby's burger palace and more... and the shack stack is definitely my favorite so far.
I really like shake shack for what it is, a mid-tier burger. Way better than fast food, but will not compare with an all-out gourmet burger. I they also don't overcook the burgers, which I appreciate.
Yesterday I walked by the Shake Shack in Battery Park City. I noticed there wasnt any long lines so I walked in.
I had Double Cheesburger and it was incredibly salty. The fries and ice tea was good. Overall, the food was ok but it was pricey when considering the quantity. I'm not sure if the cheeseburger is supposed to be that salty.
Hmm Shake Shack? That's a yuppie hybrid version of Mcdonalds with the long lines of Magnolias cupcakes. Shake Shack is alright, could be better, but has good service though.
Always wanted to try it, but I never eat fast food and live off of a pretty natural fruits, vegies, and lean meats from scratch type of diet...but if I ever did eat anything fast food other than like chipotle it would be there just because I always hear about it
Have a cheat day for f's sake. You're supposed too. We also only live once. Try it if you want to.
Five Guys and White Castle are the top of the food chain as far as cheeseburger establishments go, for my money.
Cheeseburgers aren't supposed to be upscale food. I don't want fancy.
