rich girls usually are attractive (dad marries trophy wife, mom's genes win)
what happened with this one?
i doubt she is wealthy, her dad is just a doctor. this girl is just confused
Not always ... Billy Joel/Christie Brinkley daughter Alexa (looked like Billy not Christie until complete plastic surgery face overhaul) ... Bruce Willis/Demi Moore girls are not attractive (took after Bruce or maybe Demi didn't start out pretty either but had lots of facial plastic surgery?).
To be young, not gifted, ugly and rich. This girl's got it all.
I wonder what her half pint gynecologist dad is thinking now? He is blowing probably in the neighborhood of 80 grand a year for that school and a west village apartment. Maybe an even 100 grand considering money for ceremonial puking on Ludlow street.
I also wonder what her tune would be if daddy cut her off? Would she flee back to Maryland in tears or tough it out here and become one of the unwashed masses toiling away at a McJob? "Please don't judge me but do you want fries with that?"
Her parents own property worth $700,000? She's not even rich. Sorry, honey, you need a cool million before you can even think about "rich", and nowadays that's not really enough.
Anyway, the Gristedes cashiers hate everyone. And this girl should write for The Onion, she's a self-parody.
There's something off with the property valuation posted in the linked article. I am familiar with that area of Bethesda (near Potomac) and a houses in that area are more expensive than $700k. More like $1.7M-$2.5M would be appropriate for the house pictured, higher if it is on a larger lot, and/or has distinguishing features. The price quoted is more in line with a tract home in Rockville, not the neighborhood mentioned in the article, but since there's no fact-checking in journalism these days, it's more sensational to make it seem as though the subject of the article has a perceived net worth that exceeds the actual status of her family.
If property records were used, there could be a lower sales price recorded in the event of a divorce. My brother actually had this happen on his street, where the wife bought the husband out for about half of the house's value, and two neighbors had to fight with appraisers when selling because they were attempting to use that house as a comp, at the recorded sales price, not factoring that it was half the sales price due to a divorce. Such anomalies, and incorrect data transcription, etc. are means through which the price could be incorrectly stated, as it clearly was in this case, unless that is not her family home.

This is absolutely pathetic! Clearly she is suffering from low self-esteem caused by the admittedly wealthier kids in her class. The nickname someone called around the age of 14 led to a hyper-fantasized version
I thought she was "wealthy." -Wealthy people don't work, their investments make money.
If she is truly wealthy, then she doesn't need to find a traditional job. LOL
She is not wealthy. Her dad is wealthy. She is wealthy by association. Her sudden "celebrity" status could have a negative impact on her dad's work/business.
this could blow up in her face. now her name is all over the media so finding a job might be an issue for her.
Too late...looks like something already did
