.....& this old toothless guy is singing the Frank Sinatra song "New York, New York". What do you guys think whenever you hear that song? How does it make you feel, if it makes you feel anything at all?

i was a senior in high school when that song was released in 1980. i thought the big band arrangement was a nice change from the disco and run of the mill pop that was on the airwaves. since its often been overplayed in the past it can be like chewing gum where the taste eventually runs out; however its been a long time since ive last heard it so i would like to hear it again

New York New York doesn't actually remind me of NY City, its too commercially calculated for that. a good song that reminds me of NY City is Native New Yorker by Odyssey which was a hit in 1977-1978. New York New York was on Frank's album "Trilogy" which was released in 1980.

I hate Frank Sinatra's "New York"... but, still get pretty pumped when I hear Alicia Keys' "New York"

Her song reminds me that.. Yes, I made it.

My favorite Sinatra song is "Strangers in the Night" sung in 5/4 time. (That's a joke. I'd explain it but then the mods would have to delete it.)
