If minks were tasty, we'd eat them too. I understand the meat is kind of nasty though. Maybe someone ought to work on breeding palatable mink.

I don't care. I'm buying a second hand long fur coat for the upcoming winter. Nothing beats fur when it's cold.

If you want to see acres and acres of furs just go to the ballet with the Mariinsky or the Bolshoi. Some of those Russians are RICH and I think every woman has a stunning fur coat, and NONE of them fake fur.

All I have is a fur hat...rabbit, natch. And I'm sure somebody ate the bunny.

which style would be better for a younger woman?
which would blend in more?

Ps. I'll be working in Midtown.

Are you against a real fur coat for ethical or financial reasons? Honestly I LIVE for a fur coat, especially a full length. However it takes a certain poise and elegance few younger women of today possess to effectively pull a full length off...especially during the day. I would hate for the coat to wear you instead of the other way around. Where are you interning, if you don't mind me asking. I'm trying to ascertain as to why an intern would want/need a full length faux fur, when the money could be better spent on a higher quality shorter faux fur jacket, stole, or capelet...or better yet on a different material that will keep you equally as warm and stylish. I will say between the two the second one looks infinitely better in my opinion.

You mean they can't make a stew or soup out of it!? Someone get Paula Deen to slather it in lard...

laryen- I'll be interning at Kenneth Cole Productions. And it's for financial reasons as well the notion its "un pc" to wear real fur. I am considering buying this one--very affordable and chic, looks stylish and could be worn with a neutral outfit to add flavor. I'm considering it in white!
