In my building, people were tossing their Voter Guide in the trash as soon as it arrived. Am I the only one that loves them? We're all aware of a major mayoral race, but I'm certainly not up on the more minor things. In the primary, I loved the details they included, like a succinct background, including education. In this case, I wasn't even aware of the multiple propositions to be voted for, and I love the way they list the pros and cons.

And, okay, I'll confess - a month or two ago I tracked down the person in charge of putting these out, and I called up to say how grateful I was. You could tell she was pretty pleased, not being used to that kind of call.

In the past just read quickly and see if they say "spend X million" and I vote NO. That takes care of nearly all the propositions.

But it's easier now. I am done voting until I see that I am given some real choice...not holding my breath. Tired of choosing between the two right wings of the Capitalist party.

I looked through it to make sure that I would be aware of all the issues being voted on and who the candidates are especially the ones not running to be mayor.

Vote no on Prop 1. Cuomo doesn't need any more money to help oppress his subjects further.
