I like that the people on the New York City forum are brutally honest about the crimes and issues that exist in the city, and are willing to discuss it.

Unfortunately, the mod on my city's forum seems to want to delude new residents by pretending that our city doesn't have much crime, only posting positive things. Meanwhile, innocent bystanders -college students- are caught in gangbangers' crossfire or are mugged.

While nobody likes to be exposed to violent crimes, the chance of being a victim of some petty street crimes for most americans is not so great as compared to the chance of being victimized by those smarter criminals who have access to the power, intelligence and social connections to help them rob millions/billions worth of assets from the general public in the comfort of their pajamas.

Looking at China/Taiwan, you will realize how power corrupts are "legalized" to rob their citizens. I see a corruption spill from China to American in the past decade given the increasing friendliness between these two countries and the Chinese have successfully trained some american politicians how to trade between power and money. In the corporation world, they have learned how to kiss up the ruling Chinese Party for a long time in exchange of business opportunities and benefits.

Yes, street gangsters are annoying, but they are more like the flu to human health at the most and can be controlled relatively easily. The real big suckers are feeding off the country like malignant cancers. By the time you feel the pain, your life is close to the end.

White collar offenses are non violent. There is a big difference between non violent offenses where there is recourse financially versus being physically attacked by a thug.

That is how it escapes from stop and frisk type of intervention.

Do not let those petty knock out crimes or food stamp cheats block your view of the BIG suckers around you.

There are tons of unprobed fraudulent activities in the medical world run by such "smart" white collar guys that suck away your sweat money. Rant about them, and make your voice and concern heard by your elected officers and legal representatives. If they think that you are jealousy of the riches' wealth, know that you may well have a legal right to question how they obtain their wealth.

It is a campaign that I started a little while ago to raise awareness of other colors of criminal in life. "Dishonest" is a complement to these low life criminals--they are brutal and rotten with no bottom lines and considerations of others who need to live a regular life. You are welcome to join the rant if you wish...

Most of the evil committed in the finance industry is not against the law, because the finance industry writes the laws.
