In hearing things about people getting called for July but don't know if there is any truth behind it
That's beginning to be the rumor but they don't have the go ahead yet. Once nightplow ends (think that's like second week of April) things will be more clear.
So does it seem like a lot of guys are retiring as of yet?
A lot of supervisors lol. The way the system works, your vacation is preloaded, so it's like you get 5 weeks vacation keys say for next year and it's contingent on working that full year. If you leave early (I think before June 1st) you lose some paid vacation, so most retire in the second half of the year...but even if they didn't care about the bacon vacation weeks, most won't leave with winter here cause that's a chance to make money there.
