what really probably happened is both parties probably escalated the fight and the cop's ego got the best of him.
did the cop even say he was a police officer? probably not. if he did i'm pretty sure he would have avoided 99% of all fights even if he instigated them!
then again he probably didn't know he would get knocked out by one punch. too late by then.
no remorse for the cop, however, the other guy went overboard. very sickening.
