summer Internship 08
Hi there,
I was looking for similar topic, but didn't find, so I started new.
I am studying Business Administration and started to look for a summer intern in ny in 2008. I live in Europe and I don't know at all, how employers deal with foreign people? I sent plenty of applications and got very few answers?!?
I am wondering now , how should I apply for intern, where should I look for potential employers?!?
Any feedback? I will be much obliged
Best Greetings,
Darek

You can't just send an application and hope that someone reads it. FOLLOW UP with a phone call. Ask for Human Resources and ask about an internship. GET NAMES and call back the general company number and ask to speak to that person.

I don't know if I am allowed to post a link here. So, Google: NY Business Internships.

Does your school deal with foreign exchanges?
If you get into an american school, they can help you find an internship in NYC.

Hi,
Mysticdiver: thanks for hint
NJ Chutzpah: I think, my university deal with foreign exchange, but Not in NY. They cooperate inside Europe & sometimes with abroad....
I tried as well at NY University, but they didn't answer to my email. Hmmm....I will call them up today. Columbia University as well
Thanks for Help ;-)
