Ya,thanks,I finally got it to work.Only crimes in my neighborhood all year have "grand larceny auto". Glad I don't own a car.
Fun to play with.
Anyone know if they are they going to continue to update every month ?
Lucky you. My old block in University Heights so far this year has had 21 crimes commited, including 1 murder, 4 robberies, and 6 felony assaults...if you include the adjacent block, there have been a total of 37 crimes, with an additional 3 robberies, 2 felony assaults bringing the total for the 2 blocks:
1 murder
7 robberies
8 felony assaults
7 burglaries
13 grand larceny
1 auto grand larceny
37 total crimes
And these are not even commercial strips, just residential blocks with normal foot traffic. I haven't found worse for the Bronx.
The big surprise on the map is the 84th Precinct………..
I agree but it's always been there because there hasn't been any big increase this year. Why did nobody notice before ? Because we didn't realize what the population is ?

That's probably it.

Do other agencies report crimes to the NYPD which show up on the map such as the Port Authority Police Department and MTA police, plenty of crimes do happen at their facilities which are under these authorties jurisdiction. Even state troopers make arrests in the city from time to time.

The only time I've ever seen NYS Troopers in NYC was 9/11
chiraq is insulting please don't use that term. I have never once experienced crime with exception to a few bike thefts.
I understand what your saying. However; chicago, as a whole has a higher murder rate overall per capita, in comparison to nyc . Hence ; " CHIRAQ "
